It is a legal requirement for parents to ensure their children have continuous attendance. It is possible for the governors to permit parents to withdraw their children for up to two weeks each academic year for a holiday.

We recommend, however, that parents use this as a last resort and use the school holidays in order not to disrupt their children's education.
