Attendance

It is a legal requirement for parents to ensure their children have continuous attendance. It is possible for the governors to permit parents to withdraw their children for up to two weeks each academic year for a holiday. This is only if your child's attendance is excellent through out the school year.

If your child is absent from school, please let us know by telephone first thing in the morning, or a letter to your child's teacher if it is a planned absence. If your child is not in school and we do not have a reason, we will ring you. We are required by law to declare all unauthorised absences, and parents are governed by law in being accountable for their child's absence.
