Homework
We therefore encourage the children to share with parents a wide variety of books. This is supported in school by inviting parents to come into school weekly to read with their children. The teachers exercise their own professional judgement concerning additional homework.
In Key Stage Two there is a common theme of literacy and numeracy for all children.
For the older children, we also have a homework challenge. This requires the children to use their problem solving, creative and organisational skills.
We hope that parents and carers will support their children by praising them when homework is completed, by providing a suitable place for the children to do their homework and by showing that they value the effort the children have put into it.
