Extended School
An extended school is one that provides a range of activities and services, often beyond the school day to meet the needs of its children, their families and the wider community. The main aims set out by the government include:
- Schools open all year round
- Access for children from 8am-6pm
- A range of before and after school clubs
- Access to other services for young people and their parents
- A range of adult and family learningĀ opportunities
Working with Growing Place Nursery and Mill Hill Children's Centre, the Waite End Primary School campus already provides the above facilities.
