Our School Ethos and Vision

We believe that children learn best when they are happy, well cared for and secure in themselves. Relationships within school are, therefore, based upon mutual respect, both between adults and children and between the children themselves.

Honesty and kindness is promoted together with hard work, determination and perseverance. We try to keep the focus on the positive aspects of the children's lives, and all adults working in the school are expected to show the children respect and to model positive attitudes.

We expect everyone to take responsibility for his or her actions, learning and behaviour, and in a culture of achievement provide the children with a wide range of challenging learning opportunities. We have high expectations of Waite End children.

We value the partnership between school and home. In order to support parents and children, a variety of opportunities are planned to gather and share information about the children.

We also believe that if home and school work together children will prosper.
