The Disability Discrimination Act
Discrimination occurs when any person in
or connected with the school is treated less
favourably than someone else. The Disability
Discrimination Act (1999) states that it is
unlawful to discriminate against a disabled
person for a reason connected with their
disability. Our school is fully committed to
make reasonable adjustments to recruitment
practices, polices and procedures to provide
an inclusive education and services for all
those involved with the school.
Recently we have improved accessibility to the school with
dropped curbs and by the end of 2009 we will have made further internal
improvements with an improved entrance, reception and specialist toilet facilities.
